WAVE Trauma Centre is a grassroots, cross-community charity that provides support services to individuals bereaved, injured, or traumatized by the civil unrest in Northern Ireland. The organisation operates on an inclusive basis, offering assistance to anyone affected by the Troubles regardless of their religious, cultural, or political beliefs.
In addition to its therapeutic and support services, the charity runs oral history projects to record and preserve the personal testimonies of survivors and family members. It also extends its care programs to survivors of historical institutions, including Mother and Baby Institutions, Magdalene Laundries, and workhouses.
