Accounts Payable Assistant

Location: London, hybrid working applies with min 20% of your time spent in the office. (Paddington, initially 2-3 days in the office during training).

About the Role

As our Temporary Accounts Payable Assistant, you will manage the full end-to-end purchase-to-pay and expenses process. Your main focus will be hitting the ground running with month-end duties—including general ledger journals, accruals, and prepayments alongside managing day-to-day invoice processing, supplier onboarding, and credit card reconciliations. Working closely with a tight-knit finance team of five, your efficiency and sharp eye for detail will ensure smooth financial operations across our global marketplace.

What We’re Looking For?

• End-to-End AP Expertise: Proven experience managing the full purchase-to-pay process, expenses, and operational cost month-end processing (journals, accruals, prepayments).
• ERP Systems Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of processing purchase orders and manual invoices within SAP ByDesign or an equivalent ERP system.
• Tax & Compliance Awareness: Solid understanding of UK and overseas VAT application on supplier invoices and employee expenses.
• Exceptional Communication: Ability to professionally handle supplier queries and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Meticulous Attention to Detail: A precise approach to data entry, bank statement reconciliations, and credit card management.
• Collaborative Team Player: A friendly, service-focused mindset with the confidence to question processes and integrate seamlessly into a small team.
