We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and caring Senior Support Worker to join our committed team in Norton, Stockton-on-Tees. Our service supports people with learning disabilities and mental health needs to achieve greater independence and lead fulfilling lives.
Senior Support Worker Duties
A minimum of 2 years’ UK experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs is essential. You will be a highly motivated individual who can manage their own time and manage tasks within the team to ensure effective delivery of high-quality support. You must be able to demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a drive to make a positive difference to the lives of others.
Please note, this is not a permanent position; it is an acting role, which will be in effect for a total of 6 months.

- Supervising, managing and mentoring a team of staff
- Developing and sustaining warm and trusting relationships with service users
- Supporting the team leader to manage multi-agency working to ensure consistency and a coordinated service support is provided to all
- Enabling service users to gain independence, confidence and competence in areas, such as social skills/relationships, personal care & hygiene, daily living, and other domestic tasks
- Supporting service users with the activities they enjoy in and around the Norton area
