Active Directory Specialist

Active Directory SME | Contract (6-12 Months)

Strong day rate | Multiple positions

Must be ok for 3-4 days onsite in Wokingham.

We're looking for an experienced Active Directory SME to support and maintain a large-scale enterprise infrastructure environment. This role is ideal for someone with deep Microsoft platform expertise and strong hands-on experience across Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, and VMware/Hyper-V environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy

• Manage Windows Server environments, patching, vulnerability remediation and system performance

• Handle server commissioning, decommissioning, backup and recovery activities

• Support SSL certificate management and FTP services

• Maintain VMware or Hyper-V infrastructure, including VM provisioning, HA/DRS clusters and storage management

• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents and optimise performance

• Coordinate with Microsoft, VMware and other infrastructure vendors

Required Experience

• Strong Active Directory administration expertise

• Azure Entra ID experience

• Windows Server administration and support

• VMware and/or Hyper-V administration

• DNS, DHCP and Group Policy management

• Enterprise infrastructure support within complex environments

• Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills
