Job Description Summary (Main Duties And Responsibilities)
As a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with qualified Speech and Language Therapists to support adults who may experience communication difficulties as a result of conditions such as:

- Stroke
- Dementia
- Progressive neurological conditions
- Brain injury
- Other acquired communication difficulties
- Support adults with communication difficulties in their own homes, care homes, clinics and inpatient settings.
- Deliver therapy programmes and communication-focused activities under the guidance of Speech and Language Therapists.
- Help with planning and carrying out communication groups
- Develop communication resources, such as communication aids and communication books.
- Liaise with patients, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Organise appointments, maintain records and support service delivery.
