Role Description The Aftersales Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based at Snows Motor Group in Chandler's Ford. The role involves acting as the primary point of contact for service and repair customers, managing bookings for servicing, MOTs, and repairs, and providing clear updates on work progress and timescales. The Aftersales Advisor will prepare and explain service estimates and invoices, coordinate with the workshop team to ensure efficient scheduling, and help identify additional service opportunities that benefit customers. Daily tasks include handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries, maintaining accurate records on internal systems, and ensuring all customer interactions reflect Snows’ high standards of professionalism and care. The role also requires working closely with parts, sales, and service colleagues to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Customer service and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and explain technical information in a clear and accessible way.
  • Administrative and IT skills, such as accurate data entry, familiarity with dealership management or booking systems, and confident use of email and office software.
  • Organisational and time management abilities, including prioritising multiple customer requests, coordinating workshop schedules, and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sales and advisory skills, with the capability to identify customer needs, discuss suitable services or products, and support upselling of appropriate aftersales solutions.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with processes, and proactive resolution of customer issues.
  • Previous experience in an automotive service, parts, or customer-facing role is highly desirable, ideally within a dealership or service centre environment.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle servicing and maintenance terminology, or a willingness to learn quickly, to support effective customer communication.
