AI Lead

What are we looking for?

A highly skilled Artificial Intelligence expert to join us as an AI Lead. In this role, you’ll lead a dynamic team of machine learning engineers and developers, playing a pivotal role within the core leadership team.

Your primary responsibility will be technology development and implementation in industrial sites, providing technical guidance to ensure alignment of the tech team’s initiatives with overall business objectives. You’ll provide technical leadership, strategic insight, and hands-on support where needed.

This is a hybrid role, combining hands-on technical contributions—including occasional forward-deployed work at customer sites—with management responsibilities. The position offers significant room for growth and advancement.

As AI Lead, you’ll:

• Mentor and guidethe tech team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• You'll also provide strategic leadership and oversight for Algorithm and solutions development and ensure seamless integration into the software architecture.

How can you stand out?

• Experience with process control or industrial processes
• Background as a founding engineer
• Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical

Which core skills can help you succeed?

Technical

• Ability to translate customer problems into machine learning problems
• Fluent with typical Python Machine Learning stack and tools and one or more deep learning frameworks: PyTorch, Jax or similar
• Confident developing models using complex time-series data
• Proficient in SQL and database management
• Writing production-grade code and using modern software development tools and methodologies (version control, CI/CD, containers, etc.) in a cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure)

Leadership

• Has mentored Software and ML Teams
• Led Sprints and contributed to technical roadmaps
• Ability to communicate complex problems in a simple way
• Organising appropriate technologies and resources to achieve business goals
• Maintaining up-to-date documentation of designs and decisions
• Work closely with business leaders, product managers, developers, and customers to understand needs and present solutions
