Analyst
The ideal candidate will be an early-career Strategy Analyst with experience in consulting, strategy, market research or commercial analysis, supporting benchmarking, market analysis and pre-M&A strategy work across financial services, insurance, data or technology markets
They will be highly analytical, strong in Excel modelling and PowerPoint, and able to turn research, data and commercial analysis into clear, client-ready insights
Responsibilities
- Shape market and competitor analysis to identify commercial opportunities, strategic risks and potential areas for value creation
- Build benchmarking models across revenue, cost, productivity, operating model and performance metrics to support senior decision-making
- Develop structured Excel models, including market sizing, company comparisons, revenue segmentation and simple financial analysis
- Turn research, data and analysis into clear strategic insights, implications and recommendations for clients
- Create high-quality PowerPoint outputs, including client-ready storylines, executive summaries, charts and recommendation slides
- Analyse company reports, market sources and third-party data to identify trends, performance gaps and strategic opportunities
- Support pre-M&A and growth strategy work, including market attractiveness assessments, target screening and commercial due diligence support
- Work closely with consultants and project leads to deliver fast-paced, high-impact strategy projects across financial services, insurance, data and technology markets
Requirements
- Up to 2 years’ experience in strategy, consulting, corporate strategy, financial services, insurance, market research, commercial analysis or a similar analytical role
- Strong Excel modelling skills, including data cleaning, formulas, charts, structured analysis and model build-out
- Strong PowerPoint skills, with the ability to produce clean, concise and well-structured slides
- Strong research and analytical skills, including market mapping, competitor analysis, benchmarking and market sizing
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems, identify key messages and communicate findings clearly, interest in financial services, insurance, data, technology or M&A
- Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset and ability to work at pace across multiple workstreams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or related disciplines
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite
