Based at our regional office in Maryport, with set days out in the community and to attend college

Pay, £21,216 (under 20) - £24,853 (21 and over)

Hours, 37.5 hours per week

24 months fixed term, with opportunities to progress

About The Role

You’ll be a valued member of the team, learning by doing and supporting colleagues with meaningful, hands-on work. You’ll be trusted with real responsibilities while being fully supported as you develop your skills and confidence.

You’ll Learn How To

• Carry out a range of routine repairs and maintenance tasks in homes
• Develop practical skills using tools, materials and equipment safely and correctly
• Work safely, following health and safety and safe systems of work
• Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues through clear, respectful communication
• Grow your knowledge of property maintenance, building construction and repair techniques while learning on the job.
  
  

What qualification will you gain?

• Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship, delivered by Lakes College
  
  

You’ll combine on-the-job learning with structured study, building skills and confidence that will support your long-term career.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people who:

• Achieved GCSEs in English and Mathematics grades 9-3 (A*-D)
• Are IT confident, or at the very least have a basic understanding
• Are keen to learn and develop new skills for example, communication both, verbal and written
• Share our values, want to make a difference, and thrive in a team environment
• Are organised, curious and willing to ask questions
