Asset Management Associate

Mackenzie Stuart have been engaged by a leading Real Estate Investment firm who are looking to build out their Asset Management team. We are seeking an Asset Management Associate to take ownership of a portfolio of real estate assets throughout the UK. This role will work closely Investments, other Asset Management team members and external investors to maximise asset value and support portfolio objectives.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the financial and operational performance of assigned properties, including budgets, forecasts, cash flow, occupancy, leasing activity, and capital expenditure.
• Prepare and review property-level and portfolio-level financial analysis, investment reports, variance analyses, and management presentations.
• Support annual business planning, asset management strategies, valuation reviews, refinancing activities, and hold/sell analysis.
• Coordinate with property managers, leasing teams, construction professionals, lenders, and other third parties to address asset-level requirements and performance issues.
• Assist with due diligence, acquisitions, dispositions, development or redevelopment initiatives, and ongoing portfolio reporting.

Experience Required

• 2+ years of experience in real estate asset management, investment management, portfolio management, or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of real estate financial analysis, including operating statements, budgets, cash flow projections, valuations, and investment returns.
• Experience working with property-level data, financial models, market research, and performance reporting.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and communicate clear recommendations.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree from a leading university in Economics, Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
• Additional qualifications such as a master’s degree, CFA, or relevant real estate certification would be advantageous but are not essential.
