As an Assistant Commissioning Officer, you will join the Partnerships and Commissioning Service as part of the Relationship team. Working closely with social care colleagues and service providers, you will support the delivery and ongoing development of commissioned services, helping to ensure they are high quality, effective and responsive to the needs of residents.

What You Will Be Doing
- Working closely with with colleagues, partners, service users and carers, you will support the commissioning and delivery of services by reviewing plans and maintaining accurate records of referrals, contracts, placements, expenditure and service provider information.
- It will be your responsibility to gather and report on service user feedback, analyse service data, and research best practice to support service development.
- You will provide a wide range of administrative support to assigned projects, ensuring written reports are compiled, support is provided, and records are accurate.
- Using your expertise, you will provide advice and guidance on policies, procedures and processes to customers, partners and colleagues, supporting consistent and effective service delivery.
- A key aspect of your role will be building and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of providers, services and colleagues, ensuring the clear and timely communication of important information.
- We require you to have previous experience gained from working within an organisation responsible for commissioning in social care or a similar service.
- You will hold a level 3 qualification, ideally in social or health care.
- It is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to build and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, contacts and customers.
- You will be able to collate and interpret information from multiple sources to present clear and accurate findings.
- Given the nature of this work, you will be well organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
- This is a part-time role of 18.5 hours per week, working Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday and Friday.
- Salary is pro-rata to hours worked.
- This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office in Yate and working from home.
