Associate Practitioner opportunity within the ECT Clinic at The Lakes, Colchester (Part time - 15hrs per week).

The post holder is will work within the ECT Clinic and will be required to carry out a range of assigned tasks involving direct and non-direct care for the benefit of patient and ECT service across the Trust:

To be an advocate of ECT treatment.

To be actively involved in seeking to improve the service we provide by suggesting improvement.

Main duties of the job

The Post Holder Will Provide Effective Individual Nursing Care Under The Supervision Of ECT Manager Or Deputy For Allocated Group Of Patients By

  • Assist in the management and care of service users
  • Produce accurate and timely documentation / records on all clients in line with relevant codes and Trust policy
  • Contribute to assessment and observation of service users and provide relevant and timely feedback
  • Contribute to risk assessment of the individual and of the potential hazards in the service user environment
  • Provide practical support to service users, carers
  • To support and reassure patients and their carers that attend the clinic.
  • Report and document incidents as required.
  • Under supervision of a registered clinician take part in assessing, planning and reviewing care.
  • Assist in performing some physical health observation duties such as taking Blood Pressure, temperature, blood glucose, weight measurement and ensuring that it is correctly documented.
