Associate Technology Designer
United Kingdom Full-time Posted 11 minutes ago
Summary
As an Associate Technology Designer, you will use your Revit and BIM expertise to develop, coordinate, and deliver technology and security system designs across projects, creating accurate 3D models and coordinated documentation while integrating technology systems into the broader building design.
Working with the Technical Design Lead, Project Managers, Consultants, Clients, and Multidisciplinary Engineering Teams, you will support project delivery from concept through completion, developing coordinated Revit models, maintaining BIM standards, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver efficient, high-quality, constructible solutions.
You will develop your technical design and consulting capabilities through mentorship from senior designers, project managers, and leadership, gaining experience in project planning, client engagement, design coordination, and industry best practices while taking on increasing project ownership.
Technology Design and Engineering covers the planning, design, BIM modelling, integration, and documentation of low-voltage and electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, network infrastructure, duress and emergency alarms, intercommunications, intrusion detection, door monitoring and control, perimeter detection, and other intelligent building technologies. The role requires strong knowledge of Revit-based workflows and BIM coordination, and the ability to translate client and operational requirements into coordinated, robust design solutions.
Core Responsibilities
This is a full-time position with days and hours of work generally Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This is a remote role, and the successful candidate is expected to operate effectively within a professional corporate environment. The position routinely requires the use of standard office equipment, software applications, and virtual collaboration tools to support communication, project coordination, and day-to-day business activities.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, much of the work may be performed while sitting at a desk, using a computer, typing, handling calls and using standard office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
Other Duties
This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time, with or without notice.
Compensation
