Associate – Valuation and Structuring

The opportunity

Play a pivotal role at the heart of our growth strategy. In this role, you’ll lead the financial analysis and valuation of potential acquisitions, turning complex data into clear, actionable insight. You’ll build robust financial models, shape deal structures, and partner closely with Portfolio Managers, as well as finance and legal teams, to evaluate opportunities from every angle. With direct exposure to high-impact decisions, you’ll help drive strategic thinking across adviser lifecycle initiatives and play a key part in shaping the future of the business.

This is a hybrid role, based 3 days a week from our Swindon office.

  • Salary - £65,000 to £85,000
  • Bonus scheme - on target bonus - 15%

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the development of detailed financial models to support acquisition valuations and pricing decisions
  • Analyse target company performance, using scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate deal terms and structures
  • Prepare clear, concise financial reports and presentations, articulating key assumptions and insights
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers and cross-functional teams to align financial modelling with overall business strategy
  • Advise on deal structuring, including earnouts and financing mechanisms, ensuring alignment with strategic and regulatory requirements
  • Support due diligence and post-deal evaluation, tracking performance and return on investment following acquisitions

What will you need to succeed?

  • 3–5 years’ experience in financial modelling, valuation, and deal structuring (e.g. investment banking, corporate finance, or Big 4)
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance principles, financial reporting, and valuation methodologies
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw clear, actionable insights
  • Knowledge of the UK financial advice market and FCA regulatory environment is advantageous
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to identify risks and propose practical mitigations
  • Clear communicator and collaborative team player, able to present complex information to senior stakeholders and manage priorities effectively
