Audit and Accounts Associate
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Junior Accountant & Auditor to join our audit team. This role is ideal for individuals beginning their career in accountancy and audit, offering hands‑on experience across a wide range of clients, industries, and assignments. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high‑quality audit and accountancy work in line with UK standards.
In addition, to provide support to Directors, assisting with tasks and personnel to ensure work is carried out efficiently, to a high professional standard and ensuring agreed targets for recoverability are met. The role requires significant liaison and communication with clients, other personnel and official organisations.
The ideal candidate will:
- Undertake audit, accounts, taxation and other business related activities, ensuring completed work is accurate and professionally presented
- Analyse financial data, identify variances, and document findings clearly
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements for both audit and non-audit limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation and ensure appropriate actions are taken when dealing with all client affairs. This includes keeping up to date on legislation, and official dates/deadlines, and helping to implement new auditing ethics and standards throughout the practice
- Liaise with clients to request information, clarify queries, and build positive working relationships
- Use client information and be proactive in identifying opportunities and making the relevant director aware of any additional products or services the client may benefit from to improve their business performance
- Work closely with senior members of staff and managers to support delivery of information for clients in a timely manor
- Accurately record activity codes on timesheet each day to enable company and individual productivity targets to be evaluate
- To undertake other tasks as required by the directors which are required to either enhance client service or improve working practices
- To ensure communication with clients is friendly, helpful and professional at all times. To always remain focussed on giving a high level of client care, with client satisfaction being the ultimate goal.
- To share and communicate information, as appropriate, with other BK Plus personnel to enable the provision of services to clients.
- To maintain good working relationships within BK Plus and be active in helping the business improve working practices and the services it provides; by contributing any ideas and giving support to other members of staff as required.
