Location: Telford, UK (Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite)

Role Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Selenium, Java, API automation, SQL, and CI/CD within Agile delivery environments.
- Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automation frameworks from scratch.
- Develop automated tests for UI, API, and backend systems.
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and improve test quality.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and business stakeholders in Agile teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote automation best practices.
- Required Skills
- Core Automation: Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, Rest Assured, Cucumber BDD, Maven/Gradle
- API & Database: REST APIs, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, SQL, Data Validation
- CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Git, Continuous Testing
- Preferred: Playwright, Cypress, JMeter, Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices, Azure/AWS, SonarQube
- Experience Required
- 6+ years in Automation Testing.
- Strong experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Expertise in Selenium, Java, TestNG, API Automation, and SQL.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
