We’re supporting a London-based enterprise organisation in hiring a Senior Azure .NET Engineer to join a high-performing engineering function focused on modern cloud development and identity-related platforms.


This is an opportunity to work within a mature, large-scale environment delivering enterprise-grade solutions across Azure, cloud-native development, and identity governance capabilities.

The successful contractor will be a strong hands-on engineer with deep C#/.NET and Azure expertise, comfortable building scalable back-end solutions and contributing across the full software delivery lifecycle.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Designing, building, and supporting enterprise-grade C# / .NET applications
  • Developing cloud-native services across the Azure ecosystem, including Azure Functions and Durable Functions
  • Building scalable, resilient back-end solutions within a regulated enterprise environment
  • Working with SQL Server including database optimisation and performance tuning
  • Supporting CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practices within Azure DevOps
  • Collaborating closely with engineering, security, and wider business stakeholders
  • Contributing to identity-focused engineering initiatives and lifecycle management capabilities
  • Using AI-assisted engineering tools pragmatically to enhance delivery while maintaining technical quality and ownership


Essential Skills & Experience


  • Strong commercial experience across C# and .NET within enterprise environments
  • Deep Microsoft Azure expertise, including:
  • Azure Functions
  • Durable Functions
  • SQL Server
  • Azure DevOps
  • Strong experience building and supporting cloud-native applications
  • Proven experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Experience delivering projects end-to-end, from design through to production support
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders


Desirable Experience


  • Exposure to Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platforms including:
  • SailPoint
  • Saviynt
  • Okta
  • Ping Identity
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID
  • Understanding of identity lifecycle management and access governance
  • Previous experience within regulated or enterprise-scale environments
