Bids Manager

Greater London, England, United Kingdom Full-time Posted 2 weeks ago

About us

Delta Lighting Design and The Vero Studio are internationally recognised, design-led practices working across lighting and landscape architecture.

Our work spans high-end hospitality, cultural, residential and mixed-use developments, collaborating with leading architects, developers, designers and operators across global markets.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to lead our global bid and proposal process from our London studio.

Working closely with Directors, Business Development and design teams across our international studios, you will take ownership of bids from initial opportunity through to submission and interview.

This is a strategic role requiring strong judgement, exceptional organisation and an understanding of how a leading design practice positions itself to win work.

You will shape compelling submissions that communicate our design approach, experience and value, while ensuring every bid is delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end bid process for major international opportunities
  • Develop bid strategies, narratives and win themes
  • Coordinate inputs across our London, Dubai, Barcelona and Milan studios
  • Work closely with Directors and senior designers to develop compelling submissions
  • Lead written content, project credentials, CVs, case studies and methodologies
  • Coordinate presentations and interview submissions
  • Maintain and improve our global bid library, processes and standards
  • Work with Business Development to align bids with the global pipeline
  • Track bid performance and continuously improve our approach to winning work

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience in bid management, proposals or business development
  • Experience within an architecture studio is highly desirable, particularly a leading international practice
  • Proven experience managing complex, high-value bids from start to finish
  • Exceptional written English and strong editorial skills
  • Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong understanding of architecture, design and the international consultancy market
  • Confident working with senior Directors and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • High attention to detail and a strong visual and design sensibility
  • Experience with international bids, tenders or competitions is advantageous
  • Based in London.

The ideal candidate

You will understand that a great bid is not simply about answering a brief - it is about presenting the practice at its best and creating a compelling reason to appoint us.

You will be highly organised, commercially aware and design-literate, with the confidence to work directly with senior leadership and the judgement to know what makes a submission stand out.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of bids globally within an ambitious international design practice.
