About the Role
We are seeking a Big Data Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of data-driven applications within a fast-paced financial services environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python and a solid software development background. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance solutions and support business-critical data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Python
- Build scalable and high-performance data processing solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization
- Follow best practices in software design, coding standards, and architecture
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and solutions
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years of software development experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python (mandatory)
- Experience with Java
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Scala
- Experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies
- Exposure to Apache Spark and Hive
- Experience working with Big Data frameworks and distributed data processing systems
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field.
