Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Analyst role based in Aberdeen. The Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for decommissioning and energy-related projects. Responsibilities include mapping and optimizing business processes, preparing functional specifications, and supporting the design and implementation of systems and workflows. The role involves interpreting data and project metrics to generate insights, support decision-making, and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings. The Business Analyst will also assist with stakeholder workshops, produce clear documentation and reports, and support project managers in tracking progress, risks, and issues.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in Business Analysis and Business Requirements gathering, including stakeholder engagement, requirement documentation, and solution validation.
- Experience with Business Process mapping, improvement, and documentation to support operational efficiency and standardization.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear written reporting, presentation of findings, and facilitation of meetings and workshops.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Data/Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in energy, decommissioning, or engineering project environments is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar) is an advantage.
- Proficiency with data and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar) and attention to detail in documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
