Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, and grow revenue across target markets. Daily responsibilities include prospecting new customers, managing a pipeline of opportunities, preparing and delivering proposals, and negotiating commercial terms in line with company objectives. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams to align pricing, stock availability, and delivery requirements, and to provide accurate forecasts and reports. The Business Development Manager will also monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within electrical cables, electrical distribution, or related industrial products.
- Strong skills in prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management, with the ability to prioritize and close opportunities.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with customers and internal teams.
- Solid communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical or product information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Comfort using CRM systems, productivity tools, and virtual communication platforms to manage a remote sales process.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, demonstrate sound judgment, and meet or exceed targets.
- Good understanding of commercial terms, pricing structures, and margin management.
- Experience interpreting market trends and competitor insights to adjust sales strategies.
- Knowledge of electrical cables, accessories, or industrial distribution is essential.
