As a Business Development Manager, you'll work with some of the world's most recognised food, nutrition and technology brands, helping them connect with the audiences shaping the future of food. From breakthrough food-tech innovations and sustainable ingredients to cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, you'll create commercial partnerships that bring together global industry leaders, innovators and decision-makers.

Through a consultative, solution-led approach, you'll secure high-value partnerships across international events, digital media, thought leadership and lead generation products. Your ability to uncover new opportunities and build long-term relationships will play a key role in growing our Food, Agriculture and Nutrition communities and driving commercial success across the portfolio.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across a portfolio of international events, digital media and intelligence products
  • Building relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers to understand their objectives and create long-term commercial partnerships
  • Selling enterprise-level partnership programmes spanning events, digital media, sponsored content, lead generation and thought leadership opportunities, delivering tailored solutions aligned to client objectives.
  • Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to proposal development, negotiation and close
  • Creating tailored, multi-platform partnership proposals that demonstrate value and deliver against client objectives
  • Growing existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling and identifying new commercial opportunities
  • Sharing market insight and customer feedback with content, production and marketing teams to help shape future products and commercial initiatives

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in B2B sales, business development, sponsorship, media, events, publishing or another solution-led commercial environment
  • A track record of winning new business and building long-term client relationships
  • Experience selling consultative, value-led solutions that align with customer objectives and deliver measurable outcomes
  • Confidence engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across commercial, innovation, marketing, sustainability or strategy functions
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for growth, account development and partnership expansion
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM systems to track activity, forecasting and opportunities
  • A proactive, results-focused approach, with the drive to uncover new opportunities and convert them into commercial success
