We are looking for a strong Finance / Business Management consultant to lead a range of financial management activities within a complex Technology organisation. Finance will be the core focus, but the role will also provide broader business management support across areas such as workforce, vendor management, planning, governance and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial management and planning activities across Technology, including budgeting, forecasting, actuals, cost management, variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Partner closely with Technology Finance and senior Technology stakeholders to ensure financial performance, risks and opportunities are clearly understood and actively managed.
• Own and drive the end-to-end financial management process, bringing together data from multiple sources and translating it into clear, actionable insight for leadership.
• Support and provide oversight across broader Technology Business Management / COO activities, including workforce planning, vendor and third-party management, resource management and governance.
• Establish and improve processes, controls, tooling and management information, identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and improve the efficiency of existing ways of working.
• Work across Finance, Technology, HR, Procurement and other functions to connect the different elements of the operating model and provide a consolidated view of performance.
• Lead key initiatives and deliverables from definition through to execution, ensuring clear ownership, appropriate governance and timely delivery.
• Provide constructive challenge to existing ways of working and proactively identify cost optimisation, efficiency and operational improvement opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a trusted business management partner, providing clear analysis, recommendations and insight to support decision-making.
  
  

Experience / Profile

• Strong background in Finance, Technology Finance, Business Management or Technology COO environments, ideally within a large and complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management and financial reporting.
• Experience working across broader business management disciplines such as workforce, vendor management, planning and governance.
• Experience of working with complex data, financial tooling and management information, with the ability to quickly understand new systems and ways of working.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to translate detail into clear messages and actions for senior stakeholders.
• Highly adaptable, with the confidence to operate in an environment where processes and requirements may evolve.
• Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to lead and drive activity end-to-end rather than simply coordinate.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across a matrix organisation.
