Business Operations & Finance Coordinator
Are you building your career in finance and looking for a role where you can gain real hands-on experience across finance, operations and projects?
Swift Strategies is growing, and we're looking for a highly organised, numerate and proactive Business Operations & Finance Coordinator to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with some finance or accounts experience, or someone currently studying towards AAT who wants to broaden their experience beyond pure finance administration.
What you'll be doing
You'll work closely with our Operations Director and Financial Controller, supporting the day-to-day running of the business.
Your role will include:
Finance
- Raising invoices and supporting accounts receivable
- Monitoring customer payments and following up outstanding balances
- Checking supplier invoices and supporting payment runs
- Supporting month-end preparation and reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Helping resolve finance queries with suppliers and internal teams
- Supporting financial reporting and management information
Operations & Projects
- Supporting new tools and processes across the business
- Coordinating project actions, timelines and deliverables
- Tracking progress and escalating risks or delays
- Supporting internal projects and initiatives
- Preparing meeting agendas, notes and follow-up actions
- Maintaining accurate project documentation
- Supporting the onboarding and offboarding of Associates
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is:
- Numerate and commercially minded
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident working with numbers and financial information
- Interested in developing a career in finance and business operations
- Studying towards AAT, or interested in doing so
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities
- A good communicator who isn't afraid to ask questions or challenge constructively
- Proactive, curious and willing to get stuck in
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Confident using Microsoft Office; experience with accounting or project management systems is a bonus
Previous finance or accounts experience is desirable, but we're more interested in your attitude, accuracy and desire to learn.
Why Swift?
This isn't a role where you'll be stuck doing one small part of the finance process.
You'll gain exposure to finance, operations, projects, reporting and senior stakeholders, giving you a broader understanding of how a growing consultancy actually works.
If you're studying towards AAT and want to put that learning into practice, this could be a great next step.
If you're organised, commercially curious and ready to build your career, we'd love to hear from you.
