About The Role

We're looking for an experienced communications professional to join our Colleague Communication & Engagement team and help bring our purpose, strategy and culture to life for colleagues across the business.

As our Campaigns and Projects Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and delivering impactful internal communications campaigns, leadership events and engagement initiatives. Working with senior stakeholders across National Grid, you'll create compelling stories, drive colleague engagement and help ensure our people feel connected to our vision and priorities.

The role is a hybrid role with our base office location in London, you can enjoy working from home and the office.

What you'll do

  • Develop and deliver strategic colleague communications campaigns and engagement initiatives across National Grid.
  • Lead the planning, coordination and execution of high-profile internal events and campaigns.
  • Work closely with senior leaders, including supporting leadership and CEO communications activity.
  • Manage and develop engaging content across a range of internal channels and formats.
  • Provide communications and engagement counsel to business leaders and their teams.
  • Manage external agencies to develop creative campaigns and communications collateral.
  • Measure campaign effectiveness and using insights to continuously improve outcomes.
  • Support leadership engagement activities, including senior leadership events and forums.
  • Translate complex business, operational and strategic topics into clear, engaging communications for diverse audiences.
  • Line manage apprentices and graduates, supporting their development and growth.

What you'll need

We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with excellent delivery skills and has a proven track record in colleague communications, engagement and campaign management.

You'll Ideally Have

  • Significant experience developing and delivering internal communication and engagement strategies and campaigns.
  • Experience planning and delivering large-scale events and engagement programmes.
  • Outstanding writing, editing and storytelling skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience advising senior leaders and stakeholders in a complex organisation.
  • Knowledge of communication channels, measurement techniques and audience engagement best practice.
  • Experience managing agencies and multi-channel campaign delivery.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed organisation.

What you'll get

A competitive salary between £66,000 - £82,000 per annum– dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 30% based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
