Job summary There is an exciting opportunity for the right candidates to join our team to carry out a varied and challenging role as an MDT Co-ordinator. Cancer Services provides support to selected MDT teams within the organisation, tracking and monitoring patient's treatment pathways to help deliver optimal pathways and care to patients. We are looking for a candidate to join the team for 30 hours per week, flexible across 4 or 5 days, on a fixed-term contract of 18 months. Opportunities for home/remote working may be available following completion of training, subject to service needs. There may be potential to increase hours to full-time on a fixed-term basis for the right candidate after initial training. This role has been approved for advertising; however, it is also being assessed as a suitable alternative employment opportunity. Main duties of the job The MDT Co-ordinators provide administrative support to the Cancer Multidisciplinary Teams meetings as well as recording, tracking and collecting data on all patients with suspected or confirmed malignancy and all associated treatments this includes: Provide administrative support to Cancer MDTs and the Cancer Management Team. Coordinate MDT processes, including patient entries, agendas, and meeting documentation. Accurately record and distribute MDT outcomes, care plans, and next steps. Maintain and validate Cancer Register data across multiple systems. Monitor and update cancer PTLs, escalating delays in line with policy. Complete mandated datasets (including COSD) and support reporting and submissions. Contribute to audits, quality reporting, and breach/RCA analysis. Support operational meetings and cancer pathway development (including eCare). Manage correspondence sensitively and maintain accurate filing systems. Provide cross-cover and support across the MDT team as required. Undertake additional duties in line with role requirements and service needs.
