Childcare Solicitor - Locum

Childcare Solicitor (Locum) | Blackpool | £60-£70 per hour | Initial 12-Week Contract | Hybrid
We are currently supporting a local authority in the North West with the appointment of an experienced Childcare Solicitor on an initial 12-week locum assignment, working 37 hours per week.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy legal team and manage a varied caseload of public and private childcare matters. The successful candidate will provide legal advice and representation, draft complex legal documentation, undertake advocacy, and advise clients on a broad range of childcare law issues.
Key requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or FCILEx.
- Substantial experience handling childcare law matters.
- Experience of advocacy and managing your own caseload.
- Previous local government childcare law experience is essential.
- Ability to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to internal clients.
- Availability to attend the office or court at least one day per week, therefore candidates based within reasonable travelling distance of the North West are preferred.
Contract details:
- Initial 12-week contract.
- 37 hours per week.
- £60-£70 per hour.
- Hybrid working arrangement.
- Immediate start preferred.
