About the role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Civils Operative to join our growing Integrated Design and Delivery team.
In this role, you will liaise with Capital Project stakeholders, Project Managers and the Engineering team to define the best technical and Totex solution to resolve an issue. As Civils Operative, you will design, procure and deliver the solution, installing equipment/structures, supervising sub-contractors, commissioning new assets and updating all relevant asset records.
You will plan and monitor the safe delivery of the works complying with CDM regulations and NWL SHE procedures (eg PCI, designer RA, CPP, RAMS, PTW, LOTO). You will coordinate and supervise contractors where necessary to achieve the project outcomes.
About You
If you have experience with different kinds of industrial installation projects, we want to hear from you!
You will be competent in producing and implementing risk assessment and method statement procedures and be Confined Space Competent (Fitness level, confined space permit entries, use of escape sets).
You will have Safe working at height using external plant e.g., MEWPS and booms and have knowledge of CDM Regulation 2015 and the ability to implement fully on construction work.
You will have knowledge of water, wastewater and environmental regulations that affects solution planning (abstraction, discharge permits/protected, invasive species/ planning permission, outage planning, customer interaction)
You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and will have good stakeholder management skills too.
This role requires a full UK Driving license.
Please note this role will require a DBS to be completed prior to employment.
This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
Prospective employees and agency workers in defined safety and security critical roles will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test after the job offer has been made. This will be prior to or within four weeks of their start date.
Prospective employees and agency workers who fail a pre-employment urine drug screen will have their sample analysed by the Company appointed laboratory as a matter of course. Failing a pre-employment drugs or alcohol test may lead to the job offer being revoked.
