Clinical Psychologist

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join the Children’s Psychological Medicine team at the Children’s Hospital, Oxford based at the John Radcliffe Hospital. The successful applicant will support the delivery of psychological services across a number of specialties as part of a wider Multi Disciplinary Team to deliver holistic, high-quality, evidence-based, family-centred care.

The Children’s Psychological Medicine team comprises psychologists, psychiatrists and a family therapist, with opportunities for consultation and support. The department operates an inpatient rota for the Children’s Hospital and supports flexible working and monthly CPD, with funding for additional training.

• Provide a highly specialised paediatric clinical psychology service, including assessment, intervention, consultation, supervision, teaching, research and audit and support the in-hours psychologist-of-the-week service on the wards; participate in the inpatient psychology rota.
• Contribute to MDT meetings; provide psychologically informed formulations to guide care plans; develop and facilitate group interventions where appropriate.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines, maintaining high standards of clinical governance and documentation.
