Job summary East Coast Community Health Care CIC is developing their Research and Development team. We are seeking a Clinical Research Practitioner to support the delivery of research in the community. This is a new role within ECCH. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the Quality team, with a focus on supporting the clinical teams to deliver research activity within the organisation and wider community. This post would suit an individual with recent experience of clinical research in NHS/ Academic/ Pharmaceutical setting. This varied role would suit someone who has a flexible approach to working, is diligent, able to use their own initiative, likes working with other clinical teams and external partners and has an understanding of clinical research delivery and associated regulation. There will be opportunities to promote research with clinical teams, patients and our wider community. An interest in research and evidence based practice is essential. There is flexibility in how the hours are worked across the working week. This post is offered between 30 and 37.5 hours per week. There will be no requirement to work Weekends or Bank Holidays. Main duties of the job The post holder will be an integral part of the Quality team, focused on the delivery of research activity within the organisation. The post holder will be required to contribute to the development, assessment, and management of care pathways for participants in clinical trial activity, including recruitment, education and monitoring of trial participants as appropriate. The collection and documentation of accurate data. The ability to manage a caseload of participants for data collection and follow up is essential. The successful candidate will contribute to the identification of prospective research studies, be involved in the assessment of capacity and capability to deliver the study, study set up, data management and research delivery at sites across ECCH, so must be willing to travel as needed, and will be expected to work closely with research active clinicians. Effective communication skills are crucial, as the post holder will be working with a broad professional and participant group. Engagement with colleagues, participants, and volunteers to promote research will be expected, with a focus on identifying barriers to research within the community. Collaboration with our research delivery partners, to seek new opportunities for research, develop and maintain working relationships. The post holder will be working independently so must manage their own workload, possessing the necessary time management, organisational skills to work effectively and efficiently.
