Cloud Security Engineer
Position Available: Cloud Security Engineer (AWS / DevSecOps)
Location: Oxfordshire (1 day per week in office)
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Experience needed: Around 3+ years of experience in Cloud Security, DevSecOps, Security Engineering, or a related field, with hands-on exposure to AWS, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and security tooling.
About the Role
We're looking for a Security Engineer to join our Security Engineering team, helping to build and support the security tools and cloud infrastructure that protect critical business systems.
This is a hands-on role focused on AWS, Terraform, automation, and cloud security. You'll work closely with security, software engineering, and cloud teams to improve security, reliability, and operational resilience across a large-scale technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Deploy and manage cloud security tooling
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- Work with engineering teams to embed security best practices
- Support incident investigation and troubleshooting
- Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives
What we need from you:
- 3+ years' experience in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, or similar
- Experience with AWS cloud environments
- Hands-on Terraform experience
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, or vulnerability management tools
- Scripting experience with Python, Shell, or similar
- A genuine interest in cybersecurity and cloud security
