We are seeking an ambitious and analytically driven CommercialFinance Analyst to deliver high‑quality financial, commercial, and operational insight that strengthens decision‑making and improves Overheads efficiency. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will produce clear, actionable analysis, enhance reporting, identify cost‑optimisation opportunities, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure delivery against targets.


This position is working for one of our high profile clients with a 3 day a week hybrid working in offices based in Reading.


Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting - Deliver timely, insightful monthly reporting and performance analysis.
  • Overheads Analysis - Identify trends, risks, and cost‑optimisation opportunities.
  • Month-end Close - Manage journals, prepayments, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Audit Support - Act as primary contact for external auditors.
  • Financial Controls - Maintain and improve internal controls.
  • Data-driven Insight - Provide analysis that informs decisions and drives performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration - Build strong relationships to deepen business understanding.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting - Support planning cycles and enhance forecasting models.
  • Process Improvement - Review processes to improve efficiency and cost control.
  • Reporting Automation - Improve reporting accuracy and speed using tools like Power BI.


What we are looking for:


You will be highly analytical, passionate about data, and confident interpreting complex information to drive business performance. You will bring strong modelling capability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders through clear, evidence‑based insight.


Experience needed:

  • Part‑qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
  • Strong commercial acumen and a passion for value creation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, challenge, and influence.
  • Highly analytical with strong modelling capability and attention to detail.
  • Motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player.

Desirable

  • Experience in telecoms, infrastructure, construction, or services industries.
  • Exposure to financial systems, data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI), or digital finance solutions.
