About The Project

Mace Dragados Joint Venture (MDJV) is the construction partner for the new HS2 Euston Station, working with HS2 Ltd and design partners to deliver new platforms, concourse structures, and interchange links to London Underground and National Rail.

About The Role

As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of allocated packages, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and delivering value for money. You will work as part of the Construction Delivery team, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage subcontract packages from procurement to final account.
  • Collate tender documentation and administer tenders.
  • Establish cost control systems and administer client and subcontract changes.
  • Provide risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms.
  • Mitigate risks and protect package/project margin.
  • Enhance profit through value engineering and cost reduction measures.
  • Prepare monthly commercial reports and forecasts.
  • Operate as part of a multi-disciplinary team and support net zero carbon transition

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional membership (RICS / ICES / MCIOB) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Strong commercial management experience on major infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of contract administration and cost management.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading value engineer and cost exercises.
  • Ability to build established and effective client relationships.
  • Proficient in use of Cemar.
  • Ability to encourages and empowers others, providing praise & recognition of efforts.
  • Evidence of working towards membership of MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.  
  • Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders.  
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
