As our next Commercial Print Sales Specialist you'll play a key role in delivering a market leading Commercial Print Sales Specialist function focused on Standard Accounts within the Commercial Print market sector, typically customers with turnover below £2.5m. The role is responsible for driving profitable hardware, software, workflow and services growth across the Professional Print portfolio through proactive account development, new logo acquisition and customer retention. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, and operational teams, the role will identify, develop and close Professional Print opportunities that align with customer business objectives and Konica Minolta strategic priorities.


The Commercial Print Sales Specialist will utilise consultative sales methodologies including IGNITE Discovery to uncover customer challenges, identify opportunities for workflow optimisation, production efficiency and business growth, whilst positioning Konica Minolta as a trusted strategic partner.


The role is quota bearing weighted to New Business acquisition with some delivery also required in existing customer accounts, requiring the achievement of sales targets set, with commission-based OTE calculated on achieved performance.


Key responsibilities include:


1. Drive Professional Print Hardware & Solutions Sales Growth

• Achieve and exceed assigned revenue, GP, unit and solutions targets across the Professional Print portfolio.

• Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities within Standard Accounts segment.

• Grow existing customer relationships through proactive account management and regular customer engagement.

• Position and sell the Professional Print hardware portfolio, focusing on entry, light and mid production print solutions.

• Identify and develop workflow, software and value-added service opportunities.

• Support the sale of associated finishing, colour management and workflow solutions.

• Utilise the IGNITE sales methodology to understand customer objectives, operational challenges and business priorities.

• Deliver compelling customer presentations, demonstrations and commercial proposals.

• Build strong sales pipelines with accurate forecasting and opportunity management.

• Maintain strong CRM discipline ensuring all opportunities, activities and forecasts are accurately recorded.

• Drive customer retention and minimise loss to the competition.

• Work collaboratively with Pre-Sales, Service, Operations and Customer Success teams to ensure successful customer onboarding and transition to BAU.


2. New Logo Business Development

• Proactively identify and secure new logo customers within the Commercial Print market sector.

• Develop territory and account plans aligned to strategic growth priorities.

• Undertake prospecting activity including outbound customer engagement, networking, social selling and event participation.

• Work collaboratively with SDR, Marketing and Demand Generation teams to develop pipeline opportunities.

• Promote Konica Minolta's Client Engagement Centre and co-creation approach.

• Develop strong relationships with key decision makers including owners, directors, production managers and operations stakeholders.

• Maintain awareness of competitor activity, market trends and emerging technologies.


3. Customer Relationship & Account Development

• Build trusted advisor relationships with customers through consistent engagement and value-led interactions.

• Conduct regular account reviews to identify growth opportunities and improve customer satisfaction.

• Ensure customer expectations are managed effectively throughout the sales cycle.

• Collaborate with Customer Success and Service teams to ensure high levels of customer experience.

• Support customer escalations where required, ensuring timely resolution and communication.

• Promote long-term partnership relationships focused on customer growth and operational efficiency.


4. Governance, Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure full compliance with company governance, approval processes and commercial controls.

• Maintain accurate forecasting against monthly, quarterly and annual business targets.

• Deliver all reporting requirements within agreed timelines.

• Ensure opportunities are commercially viable and aligned to business profitability expectations.

• Maintain high standards of documentation and proposal quality.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and best practice sharing

Proven Professional Print sales experience within the Commercial Print sector.

• Strong understanding of Commercial Print production environments and customer workflows.

• Knowledge of Professional Print hardware, finishing and workflow solutions.

• Understanding of production print applications including short-run digital print, variable data, direct mail and finishing workflows.

• Strong consultative and value-based selling skills.

• Ability to develop and present commercial proposals and business cases.

• Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.

• Experience of working with CRM and sales reporting systems.

• Strong organisational and pipeline management capability.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business functions.

• Commercially aware with strong financial understanding.

• Self-motivated with a growth mindset and strong personal accountability.

• Good IT literacy including Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

• Full UK driving licence.
