You will need:
This role involves working with sensitive information and requires a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

The post holder will be required to travel across the Vale of Glamorgan and attend meetings across partner organisations and regional networks as required.

About The Role
- Leading the development, implementation and continuous improvement of quality assurance frameworks, tools and quality measures across care homes, nursing homes and domiciliary care services.
- Managing and supporting a team of Commissioning Quality Officers, ensuring effective delivery of quality monitoring, risk management and improvement activity.
- Overseeing quality assurance and escalating concerns processes, including Development Action Plans (DAPs) and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
- Providing expert advice and guidance on provider quality, compliance, safeguarding and service risks.
- Working closely with care providers, Health Board colleagues, regulatory bodies and partner organisations to promote quality improvement and positive outcomes.
- Supporting service development, commissioning priorities and transformation programmes across the care pathway.
- Contributing to regional quality assurance arrangements and representing the Council at regional forums and partnership groups.
- Ensuring learning from safeguarding activity, complaints, inspections and service user feedback informs commissioning and continuous improvement.
- Developing monitoring and reporting arrangements that provide assurance to senior managers and governance forums.
- Promoting approaches that support independence, meaningful activity and person-centred care for people using services.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual who can demonstrate strong leadership, partnership working and analytical skills.
You will need:
- Significant experience working within a regulated care, health or public service environment.
- Experience of quality assurance, service improvement, performance monitoring or commissioning activities.
- Experience of leading teams, supervising staff and supporting professional development.
- Experience of working collaboratively across organisational and professional boundaries.
- Knowledge of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding principles, risk management and quality improvement approaches.
- Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills.
- The ability to analyse complex information, exercise sound professional judgement and make informed decisions.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
- The ability to build positive relationships with providers, partners and stakeholders.
- A recognised Degree, Diploma or equivalent professional qualification in Health and Social Care, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
