Company Secretarial Assist / Assistant Company Secretary - East Midlands (Hybrid)
We are working with a leading UK services business in their search for an Assistant Company Secretary.
You will be supported in your learning and development in corporate governance matters and future CGI qualification. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing a career in the company secretarial field and ideally someone who is a graduate member with CGI or working towards qualification.
Key Responsibilities
You will work in a varied role with good exposure to company law and corporate governance matters. Your responsibilities will include statutory compliance, Companies House filings, subsidiary management for UK entities, as well as support with corporate governance projects and support on legal projects. You will work alongside the wider legal team and stay proactive with horizon scanning and providing advice on changes in legislation.
About You
You must have a good understanding of UK corporate governance requirements, either from your experience in a similar role in industry or in professional services. You will be an effective communicator with strong relationship building skills and attention to detail. You must be able to confidently work independently as well as part of a team and will be passionate about good governance. Experience with Diligent or similar company secretarial software packages would be beneficial.
