Concessions Manager, Selfridges London
Overview and purpose of role:
As Concessions Manager, you will be responsible for leading and driving the two Selfridges concessions across both the Men’s and Women’s Universe. You will deliver the Retail and Brand strategy and key brand communications across your business areas. You will continue to deliver feedback and insight to Retail Merchandising to impact the product selection for your businesses.
You are expected to promote the luxury environment of Christian Louboutin and representing the brand both internally and externally as required.
As Concessions Manager, you are required to coach, lead and develop your Deputy Manager, Supervisors and wider team across both businesses to ensure their continuous professional development and optimum results.

As Concessions Manager at Christian Louboutin, you have a fundamental role in:
Service delivery and business performance:
- Implement and support a dynamic sales culture across the businesses and instill a commercial focus within each concession.
- Ensure all locations consistently achieve sales targets and key business KPI’s set by HQ.
- Consistently ensure the required sales ceremony and service provided by your concessions is to the company and brand expectation and drive the required experience level across the board.
- In collaboration with the Head of Retail, identify opportunities within your businesses and create focused business plans to support these when identified. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external business partners in order to further our brand reach.
- Realise Projects, Event and marketing proposals for your businesses, following up these actions with timely planning, detail and forecasting. The role will work closely with the Head of Retail, on all initiatives and projects.
People management:
- Partnering effectively and collaboratively with all team members to contribute to a professional and rewarding workplace culture.
- Train, coach and develop your teams. Ensure CRM and the Sales Ceremony values are at the forefront of all developed training and people management approaches.
- Partner with HR to drive the people strategy for each of your locations, ensuring agile recruitment and succession planning across the zone. Commercial resourcing for each location to ensure we have the right people in the right place at the right time. Ensuring we are inducting our new recruits with emphasis on the culture and the values of Christian Louboutin.
- Building and maintaining a strong succession planning, retaining and engaging talents.
- Curate and maintain a global approach to overall business culture, ensuring both businesses are aligned and collaborative. Including the effective integration of the BOH team, leading to an overall positive and conducive working environment.
- Maintaining departmental communication ensuring your people are well connected and well educated on all business initiatives.
- Ensuring qualitative annual and bi-annual performance reviews with monthly follow up on previous objectives and aligning with the store teams. Evaluate on a regular basis the strengths and development opportunities of your teams to ensure we are driving optimum performance.
- Effectively manage poor performance or conduct issues in a timely manner, in partnership with the relevant business partners.
Manage all operational tasks including:
- Ensure your businesses are compliant with relevant legal and health & safety requirements. Tools and guidelines supplied by the company should be adhered to and developed as appropriate.
- Oversee each location to maintain visual merchandising to company standards at all times.
- Ensure weekly trade report is completed accurately and to the deadline set.
- Stock management and control – Oversee and strategize with your managers, deliveries managed appropriately and in line with the needs of the business. Proactively plan and execute stock-takes and inventories. Ensure stock security and standard excellence within the stock area at all times.
- Coordinating group management in order to optimize the economic and operational results while maximizing sales and reducing cost where possible and necessary.
Skills and Requirements
In order to deliver the main responsibilities of the role, you will need the following skills:
Technical:
- Proven experience in retail management in a luxury or service environment. With muti site experience preferred, alongside a strong commercial acumen.
- Keen interest in both key trends and developments in the sector and the surrounding business and commercial environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power-point and Word and ability to use and adapt to all new systems.
- Ability to maintain an accurate and analytical approach to your business, in order to present proposals and strategy to achieve key business KPIS. Possesses strong reporting and administration skills across the board.
- Effective management of large teams and adaptable in your approach to managing people.
- Ability to delegate effectively.
- Ability to coach, provide constructive straightforward feedback and develop your team whilst identifying training needs and facilitating or managing as necessary.
- Can be relied on in sourcing and recruiting team members in alignment to the brand expectation.
- Competent knowledge of zone's legal procedures and requirements (including sales, financial transactions, HR) is required.
- Proficient level of English both verbally and written is mandatory. Other languages are appreciated.
