content & creative specialist at growing performance marketing agency
about us: we're thecovalentbond, a performance focussed digital marketing agency based in London with of 25-30 people working across search (organic, paid and AIO), media, content, CRO, CRM and automation for clients including Samsung, Collinson, Shake Shack, Evewell and Future Forum. our senior team has built and sold agencies before, we care a lot about our culture, and have been enjoying rapid growth over the past couple of years.
about the role: this is an excitingly varied role covering multiple forms for content & creative across platforms and customer journey stages. it starts with a deep understanding of the client goal, their proposition and everything we can find out about their customer. the role will ensure clients have a strategy that travels across channels and funnel stages. the role reports into Janie, our head of UX and content, and works across the full client roster. this is a full time role paying 25-40k based in our London office (WC1X 9AA), with a minimum of three days in the office.
about you: we want someone who can do the thinking and the doing. we don't have a strict experience cutoff. we care that you're curious about how platforms work, how content performs and are willing to have an opinions on why. you'll have experience across multiple channels, be able to write, edit and optimise content with good pace whilst also staying true to any brand guidelines. you'll also be comfortable in research mode, and able to lean into tools to guide strategy and production, be it keyword tools, Ahrefs, screaming frog, GA4, Search Console and/or any social analytics. you'll already be thinking about how and where AI fits in the journey, and ideally will have already have tested a variety of relevant tools.
what you'd own- the thinking: from a detailed content and creative audit of a client and their competitors, you'll quickly understand the current state and be able to strategise and communicate where where need to move our content and creative strategy. you'll bring this to live across a variety of content types and platforms, giving a time and place appropriate brand experience that feels cohesive to the customer.
- the doing: once the client has approved the approach / thinking / recommendation, you'll be able to convert the end-state into a working delivery plan, this may see you writing new content, optimise on-site copy, drafting organic social posts, improving our paid ad copy, generating new images and ad assets to improve performance, and bringing in new resource as needed when the work is bigger than one person.
- performance: when the work is done, really - it has just begun. from here, you're able to connect the content to commercial outcomes in the most appropriate way. does the blog page rank well? did the optimisations improve traffic or CTR? do our new ads drive better quality leads? if yes - what's the commercial value of this often hard to quantify channel?
improved proposition: you've helped us build out and formalise our creative offering
return on investment: we can track the positive commercial impact of the creative
covalent growth: we grow retainers because we're taking painful work off clients
efficiency: your love of AI radically improved how we operate in creative & content
if this sounds like you, email jobs@thecovalentbond.com with your CV, a short note on why this and why us, and one or two pieces of content work with a line on what each was meant to do and whether it did. Our first step is a screening call from our recruiter, before a welcome chat with our founder. from there, we'd invite you in to the office to present a relevant task before hopefully inviting you to join the team :)
