Contract Manager
Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager on a permanent basis.
The position is due to interview within the next week, and the annual salary is up to £60,000 per annum with 2/3 days working from and a basic DBS required.
The ideal candidate will support the effective management, procurement, compliance, and performance monitoring of a range of housing-related contracts and supplier arrangements across the Council.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Manage housing contracts day to day and keep records up to date
- Monitor supplier performance and deal with any issues
- Support procurement processes, including tenders and documentation
- Track contract spend, risks, renewals, and compliance
- Collect and report performance data to support decision-making
- Ensure contracts and processes meet legal and governance requirements
- Work with internal teams and suppliers to improve services and value for money
Experience required:
- Good working knowledge of both the Procurement Act 2023 and the Social Housing Act 2023
- Extensive experience in contract management in a social housing or local government setting
- Able to run procurement exercises, Contract mobilisation and transition of contract
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Ability to run a fair and transparent procurement process
- Monitoring contractor performance via KPI’s
- Ensuring contracts meet legal and regulatory requirements
- Ensuring proper documentation for audits and inspections
- Well, organised with excellent time management skills & ability to meet deadlines.
- Confidence working with contractors and stakeholders
