Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Contract Manager role, based in the West Midlands. We are looking for an experienced candidate who can manage multiple accounts for our social housing and corporate clients.


Scheme by scheme, fire doorset installation programs, overseeing multiple Fire Door Installers / Joiners and Fire Stoppers simultaneously, installer 1500 fire doors a year

The Contract Manager will oversee the delivery of fire protection and fire door installation projects, ensuring contracts are executed on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include managing contract documentation, negotiating terms and variations, monitoring performance against contractual obligations, and maintaining accurate records and reports. The role will coordinate closely with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to plan works, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with industry certifications and regulations. The Contract Manager will also support continuous improvement of processes, contribute to risk management, and help maintain the company’s reputation for reliable, fully certified fire protection services.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in contract management, project coordination, or site management within construction, fire protection, or a related built environment sector.
  • Strong understanding of contract documentation, commercial terms, variations, and claims, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of fire doors, fire protection systems, or building safety regulations is highly desirable; experience with housing association or social housing contracts is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with experience liaising with clients, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Competence in using office software (e.g., MS Office, project or contract management tools) and maintaining accurate digital and paper records.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on risk management, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites when required.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction, contracts, project management, or a related field (e.g., degree, HNC/HND, or professional certification) are beneficial but not mandatory with equivalent experience.
