Corporate Coverage & Advisory Analyst – London

We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Coverage & Advisory Analyst to join an established Investment Banking team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain broad exposure to corporate coverage, advisory, business development and live transactions while working closely with experienced senior bankers.

The successful candidate will support the Corporate Coverage team in developing and strengthening relationships with UK corporate clients, while gaining exposure to a broad range of Investment Banking activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support senior bankers with business development, client coverage, deal origination and transaction execution.
  • Conduct detailed research into clients, their portfolios, investments and strategic activities.
  • Develop and maintain databases to support client coverage and business development initiatives.
  • Assist with the preparation of marketing pitches, client presentations, coverage memos and client action plans.
  • Support financial modelling and credit analysis for financing transactions.
  • Analyse financial statements and financial data, identify variances and support appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Assist with the onboarding and analysis of new corporate clients.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across Acquisition & Structured Finance, Structured Equity Capital Markets, Real Assets, Global Markets, Industry Groups and M&A.
  • Develop a broad understanding of Investment Banking activities and contribute to live transactions and client engagements.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory, compliance and internal policies.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous Investment Banking experience is essential, ideally through 1–2 relevant internships or approximately one year of experience within an international bank.
  • A strong academic background, ideally with a degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Exposure to or a strong understanding of credit analysis and financial statement analysis.
  • A genuine interest in financial markets and Investment Banking.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive and resourceful approach, with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Strong motivation to develop a long-term career within Investment Banking.
  • A willingness to learn, demonstrate resilience and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • An interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance research, analysis and efficiency.
