Job Overview
We're seeking a highly organised individual with proven experience in corporate finance and M&A, who enjoys leading strategic projects. As our Corporate Finance Manager, you'll be the go-to person for driving capital optimisation and supporting acquisitions and disposals. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across AXA UK, providing insights and influencing key decisions. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to make a real impact, this role is perfect for you as you’ll confident managing valuations, negotiations, and post-deal reviews, while building strong relationships along the way.
Key Responsibilities
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) from December 2026. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead on important capital initiatives, focusing on delivering extra solvency surplus
- Collaborate with risk, capital, reinsurance, FP&A, and Group teams to push initiatives forward smoothly.
- Support M&A activities from target identification and valuation to negotiations and post-acquisition reviews.
- Build strong relationships with senior management and external partners, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to underpin strategic decisions and measure project success.
- Manage the preparation of business plans and board proposals for key projects.
- Help develop AXA UK&I’s capital management and dividend strategies, ensuring alignment across teams.
- Act as a key contact for AXA UK&I’s corporate finance projects, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.

Your Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in senior finance management within insurance or financial services.
- Strong background in corporate finance, M&A, or capital management.
- Qualified Accountant or Actuary, with a good grasp of financial analysis and risk tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
- Confident communicator, capable of presenting complex information clearly to senior audiences.
- Demonstrable experience working on strategic projects, including valuations and business planning.
- Highly organised with a detail-oriented and proactive approach.
- Ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally, inspiring confidence and collaboration.
