CTV Master
As the Master of a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV), you will serve as the company's representative onboard, Transferring Technicians, Personnel and Cargo on and off the Turbines and SOV’s. Your primary duty is to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals aboard, Fostering a positive safety culture, Professional communications with the Company, Client and the MCC and Management of all aspects of the vessel.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
o Manoeuvring the vessel safely and efficiently in the Wind Farm with respect to the vessel’s capabilities and limitations.
o Transferring Technicians, Personnel and Cargo on and off the Turbines and SOV’s
o Associated Administrative work, record keeping, communications with Company and Client
o Compliance with the companies SMS with strict adherence to all IMO Codes
o Management and application of the PMS
o Assisting, managing and guiding the Engineer and Deckhand, with hands on assistance when required
o Compliance with all Flag/Port and Local regulations
Required Certification and Documentation
o Master <500 GT COC (STCW II/2, II/3) or greater
o For non-UK issued COC, an MCA FSE is required
o GMDSS GOC/ROC Radio Operator Certificate.
o Valid passport for travel to the UK and EU.
o STCW basic safety training certificates • Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-1) • Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (A-VI/1-2) • Elementary First Aid (A-VI/1-3) • Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (A-VI/1-4) <4 years
o STCW Advanced safety training certificates (<4 years) • Proficiency for Persons in charge of Medical Care on Board Ship (A-VI/4 2) • Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than FRB (A-VI/2-1) • Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats (A-VI/2-2) • Advanced Fire Fighting (A-VI/3)
o ENG1 Seafarer medical certificate (any restrictions must not lie outside the remit of the position)
o Crowd Management (A-V/2, A-V/3)
o Slinger banksman
o Food Hygiene Level 2
o Valid Drivers Licence
Seagoing Experience
o Proven experience as a Master on commercially operated vessels, with a preference for CTV experience however small vessel management (fishing/tugs/Ro-Ro) considered.
o Management of Passengers
