Role: Data Engineer

Location: UK – Remote

Contract Duration: Until April 2027

Rate: 45-50 GBP/hour on PAYE inside IR35

Description

As a Data Engineer, Your technical skills and analytical mindset will be utilized designing

and building some of the world's most extensive data sets, helping to craft experiences for billions of people and hundreds of millions of businesses worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Core Responsibilities: The role involves end-to-end project execution, meaning the candidate must be capable of driving projects by designing and executing solutions, rather than just completing well-defined tasks.
• Skill Requirements: Proficiency in SQL and Python is a "must-have" for daily tasks. While marketing experience is a nice-to-have, data engineering expertise is the primary requirement.
• Work Breakdown: The workload is estimated to be 80% focused on ETL pipelines and 20% on dashboards (using the internal tool).
• Scalability: A key challenge is developing solutions that can handle massive amounts of data (billions of rows). Candidates must be able to design scalable code, as inefficient designs consume too many resources.
• AI Integration: The candidate should have some experience using AI tools, as they are expected to use them to make their work easier

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience where the primary responsibility involves working with data. This could include roles such as data analyst, data scientist, data engineer, or similar positions
• 5+ years of experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling, data visualization and at least one programming language (Python is preferred)
• Experience working in Marketing Analytics or Marketing Technology is preferred.
