RED is currently looking for an experienced Data Engineer to support the design, build, and delivery of a modern data platform using Microsoft Fabric. The successful consultant will work across data ingestion, transformation, modelling, and reporting enablement, helping the business move towards a scalable, cloud-based analytics environment.

- Work Model: 1 day on-site every 2 weeks
- IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Required Experience
- Strong experience as a Data Engineer delivering cloud-based data solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience building Fabric Lakehouse and/or Fabric Warehouse solutions.
- Strong knowledge of OneLake, Fabric workspaces, pipelines, notebooks, and dataflows.
- Strong SQL skills, including data modelling, transformation, and performance tuning.
- Experience with PySpark or Spark-based data engineering.
- Experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Good understanding of modern data architecture, including Lakehouse and medallion architecture.
- Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Strong understanding of data quality, validation, reconciliation, and error handling.
- Experience supporting analytics and BI teams, ideally with Power BI.
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
