Data Engineer (SAP Data Services)

Join a major data programme at a leading financial services company, delivered through a leading global technology consultancy. This is a hands-on Data Engineer role on a hybrid basis out of Milton Keynes, building and tuning the pipelines that power enterprise reporting and analytics across the business.

What You'll Own:

→ Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using SAP Data Services, with a constant focus on performance and reliability

→ Develop and optimise PL/SQL across complex data sets, tuning queries and processes for scale

→ Design and evolve data models that underpin reporting and downstream consumption

→ Deliver business reporting and semantic layers through SAP Business Objects

→ Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks across the data estate, not just patching symptoms but optimising at source

→ Work alongside analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to turn requirements into clean, well-structured data

You Must Have:

✅ 2 to 5 years in a hands-on data engineering role

✅ Strong hands-on experience with SAP Data Services

Strong Advantage:

✅ SAP Business Objects for reporting and semantic layers

✅ Hands-on PL/SQL and solid data modelling

✅ Demonstrable ETL/ELT performance tuning and optimisation
