Data Science Associate
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Data Science Associate to join our growing analytics and AI team. This entry-level role is designed for individuals passionate about data, statistics, and machine learning, and looking to build a strong foundation in data science. You will work alongside experienced professionals to analyze data, develop models, and generate insights that support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing datasets for analysis
- Support development and evaluation of basic machine learning models
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business insights
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers on projects
- Assist in testing and validating model performance
- Document workflows, methodologies, and findings
- Stay updated with emerging tools and trends in data science and AI
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 0–2 years of experience (internships, academic projects, or training included)
- Basic proficiency in Python or R
- Understanding of statistics, probability, and data analysis concepts
- Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Basic SQL knowledge and database understanding
- Exposure to machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, etc.)
- Academic or project experience in AI or analytics
