Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits

A fast-growing technology business is looking for a Data Scientist to join its expanding data team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about using data to solve real-world problems and wants to make a tangible impact within a collaborative, high-growth environment.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions, build predictive models, and support key business decisions. The role offers exposure to a variety of projects across analytics, machine learning, risk modelling, customer insights, and operational optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy predictive models and machine learning solutions.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and commercial stakeholders to deliver data-driven outcomes.
• Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and analytical infrastructure.
• Design and evaluate experiments and model performance using appropriate statistical techniques.
• Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:

• Experience working with data through industry experience, academic projects, or personal projects.
• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with data science libraries.
• Understanding of statistics, machine learning, and data analysis techniques.
• Experience with SQL and data manipulation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data tooling.
• Knowledge of model deployment and MLOps practices.
• Familiarity with A/B testing, experimentation, and model validation techniques.
