About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide dedicated secretarial and administrative support to the Dental Business Unit and operational initiatives. This includes managing complex diaries, organising meetings and appointments, handling correspondence and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Job Title: Dental Secretary
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne – city centre
Contract Type: Part Time (10.5 hours per week)
Reports to: Dental Partner
Key tasks and responsibilities:
· Raise bills and invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
· Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Dental Business Unit.
· Assist with document preparation, formatting and correspondence.
· Support file management and general administrative processes.
· Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth financial and administrative workflows.
Other Responsibilities:
· Support reception with lunch cover.
· Take overflow calls for the switchboard.
About you
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:
Essential experience, knowledge and skills:
· Previous experience in a secretarial role.
· Experience in a health & safety-related role.
· Excellent organisational and time management skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
· Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Professional and approachable manner.
· Discretion and confidentiality.
· Experience in a professional services environment is desired.
Education and qualifications:
· GCSEs or equivalent required.
· A-levels or degree desired.
