The Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join Robert Walters as a Consultant.

As a Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an assignment within our clients' organisations. In return, we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional support.

What you'll do

  • Design, build and optimise CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps, supporting software delivery across multiple applications and teams.
  • Lead the migration of legacy Jenkins build processes and establish modern DevOps standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout the development lifecycle, from solution design and estimation through to implementation and release.
  • Troubleshoot build, deployment and integration issues, ensuring platforms remain secure, resilient and reliable.
  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration-as-Code solutions using tools such as Terraform and Ansible, enabling scalable and consistent deployment approaches.


What you bring

  • Experience delivering technology projects within the insurance sector using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins and GitHub Actions, building and supporting CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting across Linux and Windows platforms, with knowledge of DevOps security tooling including Dependabot, CodeQL and secret scanning.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration-as-Code using Terraform and Ansible, alongside exposure to AI-enabled development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, provide technical leadership and collaborate effectively with distributed teams across multiple business functions.
  • Relevant certifications or equivalent practical experience, with additional knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, ServiceNow, Wiz, networking technologies and large-scale platform migrations considered advantageous.
